THE PAUL JACONELLI BUILDING

Land to the rear of 48/50 Neville Rd, Hove

2021

BRIEF

  • To rationalise and develop the area to the rear of Paul's #2 properties in Nevill Rd, Hove.

  • To design a small but beautiful home in a space that would otherwise remain derelict for the foreseeable future.

  • Deliver a home that could serve as a starter home, a home for a developing family, a retiring couple or simply as a holiday let/city break space for visitors to the City of Brighton and Hove.

  • The building should be predominately pre-fabricated using responsibly sourced, sustainable materials to an energy efficient design. Indeed, Paul's desire was to at least match the performance levels achieved by the Green Mews project, such was Paul's commitment to support Brighton & Hove's progressive "green credentials".
